Dedication. I can be wholeheartedly dedicated to only a few things (photography, my husband, my clients, reading, knitting) at once or else I feel spread too thin. It happens to all of us. For me, it’s realizing when there is more than I can handle chaos might ensue. Despite my dedication to my Outlook calendar and my fetish with Post-it notes, there are still some things that slip my mind. Such as my [insert word here] Tuesday post.
It’s supposed to occur every Tuesday, but guess what? It’s been two and a half weeks and I’ve not posted one. I have been so dedicated to reading photography books, shooting more frequently, connecting with clients, and all the wifely duties I have that this has just slipped my mind. These past two Wednesdays, I pretty much felt like saying a Homer Simpson “DOH!” when I realized I’d forgotten.
To make up for my missing those two posts, I’m going to share a few personal things with you…
First up is a project I just completed for a friend. I learned how to knit late last October and this is only my fourth scarf to finish. I only know the garter stitch and can fudge my way through purling. I’m sharing this project with you because it’s probably one of my favorites. I love the way it turned out. What do you think? (Not posting a picture of what it looks like on because I want my friend to be the one to wear it… not me.)

You’ve met my dogs before here and here. It’s been a while since I’ve discussed them, and they’ve been so much fun today that I wanted to share them with you again. We had a great walk after church. Only for me to then realize how stinky they were when we got back. I do NOT like bathing the dogs. It’s a process. Jules hates baths unless we smear the tub with peanut butter to keep her preoccupied the entire time (a trick learned from my sister-in-law, Leslie). It’s always after their baths that I crack up the most. Camy zips around the apartment running as quickly as she can, back and forth, to “air dry”. Jules runs for a little while, but then she starts rubbing her entire body along the bottom of the sofa, and all along the length of our apartment, one side of her body pressed to the floor the entire time.
They aren’t allowed on the sofa when they’re wet because… I don’t want to get wet. Since it’s in the 30s today in Texas, our apartment is chilly (it’s older and not all that well insulated). We set up a little space heater for them to stay near as they dried off. Enough of my rambling… enjoy my girls, Jules and Camy.
Jules really isn’t a fan of photos. She pretends to look at everything BUT me.

Check out Camy, resting her head on Jules. They’re usually not this “cuddly” with each other.

Camy was being smashed against the couch by Jules, but still fell asleep.

Jules is learning how to shake. She thinks she deserves a treat every. single. time. Must be hard work being a dog.

She finally gave up playing with me and went to scope out the space heater.
