A Series of Events | Austin Family Photographer

Our plans were set. We were booked for a family mini session at Bull Creek. Unfortunately, the city had other plans for us.  Upon arrival, we saw signs saying the park was closed for maintenance. With little time to ponder the change of location, we set out for Emma Long Park.  Oh, I’m so pleased we went here.  It had been months (since August) since my last visit, and the park was empty… completely available for us to play and explore.

And so we did.

Meet Sarah, Emily, Will, and Jodena.  Usually, I’m the person trying to get people to laugh or relax. They had me laughing for extended periods of time as the girls asked Will to do some of his favorite impersonations.  Even the most unexpected event happened that morning.  Jodena came prepared with several shirt changes for everyone. We were making our way back to land after multiple pictures on the dock. I should mention the wind was ferocious that morning. Everything that happened next happened in fast forward.  One teal shirt flew from Jodena’s arms and began to drift away in Lake Travis. Jodena rolled up her pants. Kicked off her flip-flops. Will found a large stick and passed it off to Jodena. In hopped Jodena who rapidly trekked down said teal shirt.  Needless to say, Jodena won mother-of-the-day.

Smith family, it was a pleasure to spend the day with you. Thank you for a killer mini-session!
