Well, I almost made the cut-off for my [insert word here] Tuesday post this week. I’ve been cranking away editing while I had the opportunity to work for an extended period of time. I have something really exciting to share with you regarding this past weekend, but it was personal, and my clients come first. I think I’ll save the fun for next week, or maybe if I’m feeling too giddy to wait, I’ll post it later in the week.
As a photographer, I think it’s really important to see more than just the best images on the website and more than just the few posted on a blog. This blog has been going through a lot of transitions since the beginning of the year, but the one thing I kept putting on the back burner was implementing galleries. I’ve been showing you slideshows of weddings and portraits via the animoto, a great company for photographers or videographers. However, that doesn’t integrate directly into my blog and leaves me creating tons of extra work for myself. I’m still at a fork in the road trying to determine whether or not I will move forward with animoto.
For now, I’m going to embrace the wonderful galleries that are already built into wordpress and ProPhotoBlogs. Some of these slideshows will now be featured under Galleries on the main menu bar. I’ll try to keep a variety of sessions/weddings loaded in the galleries.
