Off-Topic Saturday, My Favorite Things | Austin Lifestyle Photographer

Until last weekend, I had never been on etsy. Not for more than five minutes at least, and I’d never purchased a single thing. Well, I still haven’t bought anything, but hopefully that might change one day. You see, I sat down with my sister-in-law and we chatted about some of our favorite blogs. She had SO many awesome faves to share. I felt a little lame that I’ve allowed myself to get so caught up in following primarily photography blogs. Leslie completely inspired me, and my creative itch returned.  We planned a trip to Ikea to drool over their fun, funky, modern fabric section. Did you know Ikea even had that? Well, it’s true and real. I now am the proud owner of three fun, unique fabrics that I’m hoping to turn into pillows in the near future. All I need now is a sewing machine. And to learn how to use it.

But, I digress. Leslie shared one of her favorite etsy stores with me, and on Friday, I took a mental break and plowed through etsy like a woman on a mission. I found so many awesome things, and the idea for this post was born. Every now and then, I’d love to update you on some of my favorite things. Do you have favorite blogs that you love? Do you have favorite etsy shops that you frequent often? Please share them with me. I’m new to all of this, and SO excited about it.

1. Sterling Silver Blossom Necklace
2. Customizable Alphabet Necklace – LOVE this. I’m not a huge necklace person, but as you see, #1 and #2 are necklaces. I’d love to have one of these!
3. Floral Apron – really love this. Do you think owning a super cute apron would inspire cooking more often?
4. Linen Coriander Clutch – I adore this color combination. Usually I carry bigger bags, but the simplicity of this is nice.
5. Summer Squash Cherry Blossom Purse – I didn’t realize I loved yellow so much until the last year. Hence the reason it’s part of my logo. I think the shape of this purse is SO cute!
6. Tea Time Tuxedo Dress – Dresses during the summer are pretty much my staple. I mean, Texas is so flippin’ hot. Dresses seem like the most appropriate way to stay cool and cute. This is from Leslie’s favorite vendor on etsy.
