Austin Newborn Photographer | Baby Jax

Last week, I shared Charity’s maternity session with you; this week I’m thrilled to share she and Chauncey’s newborn session. His name is Jax. He was a big 9 lb. boy when he was born! (This is a huge, huge deal considering Charity is so petite and barely skims the five foot marker.)

They wanted a few photographs to announce him and their new little family to all their friends and relatives. They had no expectations for what they wanted of the session other than to capture them loving on their little man. I told them to dress casually, very relaxed. I loved Charity’s grey and white pajama bottoms and t-shirt. There’s something about the easiness of the outfits that draws focus to the emotion to me.

Yeah, they were tired and still adjusting to having him at home. But everything was just perfect. Aside from the little dude not wanting to sleep for us. Oh, and the few accidents he had while in the buff.

I just loved hearing these two say, “We just can’t believe he’s finally here. We love him so much.”

That, my friends, is what it’s all about.
