My heart is overflowing with love. Over the last year, I’ve heard story upon story of couples who are venturing into adoption or who have adopted multiple children. I am unbelievably touched by these families who so graciously and lovingly make these children part of their lives. Oftentimes, the expense of adoption is astronomical. One of the last things that the parents can think about when they’ve added a new member to their family is having a new family portrait taken. I may be a bit biased, but I think photographing this momentous occasion is so special and important.
Children of all ages are being adopted. Some of them are in their teens and have no recollection of what they looked like when they were a child. Photos get lost in the shuffle as they’ve been lived at different houses. When they walk into your home, most likely, you will have pieces of your family history hanging on the walls. The children will see family portraits that they aren’t a part of. One of the most meaningful moments to them is understanding that they now have a family, and for you to visibly acknowledge this by updating your family portraits to include him/her.
For this reason, each month I will be donating one free photography session to a couple who has adopted within the last twelve months. The session fee will completely be waived so that the money typically spent on a session ($150 + tax) can go toward printing the images to hang in your home and share with family and friends. The Details
- Free Photography Session for one family each month. Qualification – adoption must have been completed within the last twelve months.
- No session fee to help alleviate some of the cost.
- Sessions can be booked a few months in advance, so if you’re interested, please send in an inquiry.
- There is no age limit on the children – everyone is included.
- Session can be of just the child or can include your whole family. When we arrange the session, we can discuss all of this in more detail!
- You will be given (2) 8×10 prints free of charge.
- You are able to purchase additional prints, albums, and canvases through me.
